Competences to be gained during study

 

Basic competences

— Capacity to apply the acquired knowledge to problem-solving in new or relatively unknown environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to the field of study.

— Capacity to integrate knowledge and tackle the complexity of formulating judgements based on incomplete or limited information, taking due consideration of the social and ethical responsibilities involved in applying knowledge and making judgements.

 

General competences

— Creative and entrepreneurial capacity to analyse situations, to create and manage projects and proposals by incorporating knowledge and attitudes particularly relevant to the challenges of internationalization.

— Capacity to tackle professional challenges and management responsibilities in public and private companies and institutions, incorporating the dynamics of internationalization.

— Capacity to tackle business and/or institutional situations and problems that have an ethical component through critical reflection, understanding the repercussions of history and the mid- and long-term effects of decision-making, to be able to explain and communicate available alternatives. 

 

Specific competences

— Capacity to recognize and identify economic and business problems in different areas of commerce, finance and technology, their implications in the management of companies and institutions, and their short- and long-term effects.

— Capacity to analyse the potential and opportunities in different regions of the global economy, identifying the specific traits of each type of market and society in order to improve the effectiveness of activities undertaken along general lines of professional responsibility.

— Ability to select data and empirical information to solve specific problems and make sound proposals in the different fields of internationalization (economic, commercial, legal and political).

Teaching blocks

 

1. Content of placement

*  The contents are those of the institutions and companies in which the placement takes place, providing each of them in their respective field the opportunities to apply and develop the topics covered during the master. Likewise, external placements should facilitate the work and professional integration of the student.

The activities of the placements are aimed at guaranteeing and contrasting the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during the previous semesters of the master’s degree, in their application to practical situations.

 

 

Teaching methods and general organization

 

It is adapted to the specificities of the company or institution in which the placement is developed.

 

 

Official assessment of learning outcomes

 

Assessment is based on: 

a) Report of the tutor responsible inside the company and institution on the performance of the student: quality in the assigned tasks, learning process, aptitudes and attitudes shown, expression of knowledge, entrepreneurial initiative, teamwork, problem solving, capacity to present and think of alternatives or options, decision criteria, etc.

b) Self-report of the student on the advances in the learning process, connection with the topics of the master, practical translation of knowledge, skills and abilities, maturation through experience, etc.
