Competences to be gained during study


Basic competences

— Capacity to apply the acquired knowledge to problem-solving in new or relatively unknown environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to the field of study.

— Capacity to integrate knowledge and tackle the complexity of formulating judgements based on incomplete or limited information, taking due consideration of the social and ethical responsibilities involved in applying knowledge and making judgements.


General competences

— Creative and entrepreneurial capacity to analyse situations, to create and manage projects and proposals by incorporating knowledge and attitudes particularly relevant to the challenges of internationalization. 

— Capacity to tackle business and/or institutional situations and problems that have an ethical component through critical reflection, understanding the repercussions of history and the mid- and long-term effects of decision-making, to be able to explain and communicate available alternatives.


Specific competences

— Ability to select data and empirical information to solve specific problems and make sound proposals in the different fields of internationalization (economic, commercial, legal and political).

— Capacity to identify and fully understand the specific problems, and to analyse the alternatives, potentialities and opportunities and their restrictions and dilemmas.

— To acquire familiarity to the problems that arise in the professional and work fields connected to the master, connecting them with the knowledge obtained in it.

— To learn to work with professional criteria, interacting with other people and perspectives, and analysing situations in an integrated manner.

— To propose the adoption of decisions in complex and uncertain environments.



Teaching blocks


1. Content of the Practicum

*  For the current year, the reference content is the analysis and critical assessment of the World Economic Outlook of the International Monetary Fund, as a reference document in the analysis of the global economic situation, as well as its comparison with any of the other recognized studies and analyses on an international scale.



Teaching methods and general organization


It is adapted to the approach that is adopted in the case of each student after a tutorial sessions, given the plurality of topics included in the reference documents.



Official assessment of learning outcomes


Each student presents, at least biweekly, the results of their analysis and criticism to the tutor. The document and its final presentation are also subject to evaluation.


Examination-based assessment

Given the nature of the Practicum, the assessment system does not distinguish between continuous and single assessment.
