Official assessment of learning outcomes

• Class attendance is strongly recommended.

• Continuous assessment activities:

a) Two theoretical-practical activities covering the conceptual content of the subject. Together, these activities account for 50% of the final grade.

The quality of written and, where applicable, oral expression is taken into account in the assessment of these activities. Note, poor spelling and expression are penalised.

b) A comprehensive examination, designed to ensure achievement of the learning objectives set out in the course syllabus, including knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This exam accounts for the remaining 50% of the final grade.

Students are entitled to repeat assessment, the dates for which are established in the Faculty’s academic calendar. The content, procedures, and evaluation criteria for the repeat assessment are the same as those established in the syllabus for the single assessment exam.

All assessment is governed by the current regulations of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Examination-based assessment

Students who opt for the single mode of assessment can pass the subject by sitting a final accreditation examination (to be held on the officially designated date), in which they must demonstrate mastery of the course’s theoretical and practical content. The minimum mark required to pass is 5/10.

Students are entitled to repeat assessment, the dates for which are established in the Faculty’s academic calendar.

All assessment is governed by the current regulations of the Faculty of Economics and Business.
