Learning objectives |
|
Referring to knowledge — Consolidate the knowledge and skills obtained in the subject Second Language for Business II (Italian) until achieving oral and written fluency suitable for the proposed communicative situations.

1. Scope of intermediate-level communication functions
* 1.1. In-depth communication functions: negotiating and commercial agreements (2), expressing wishes and hypothetical or future plans (2), expressing needs (2) with avere bisogno or bisogna.
1.2. New communication functions at B1 level: expressing emotions or moods; expressing comparisons and arguments for or against; giving advice, justifications, suggestions, complaints and claims; forbidding and expressing doubts; demanding reasons and giving explanations; expressing the consequences of an event; offering help or availability; softening the tone of a discussion or debate; explaining geographical position; expressing curiosity, interest or offense; creating projects; expressing motivation and insistence, and expressing health problems, etc.
2. Scope of function use in chains of tasks and oral and written communicative activities
* Students must expand a simulated foreign trade operation (2) that includes: negotiations with a high level of courtesy; marketing plans, e-commerce, well-defined shopping websites, describing the different branches of the company and human resources, formal language typical of electronic correspondence, reading charts (comparative structures), problems in commercial operations, commercial communication problems, payments and banking, transport of goods and shipping documents, etc.
Students must prepare a project including the new knowledge acquired on Google Sites.
3. Grammatical scope
* Review of the contents of levels 1 and 2; in particular, the past, future and conditional tenses, and combined pronouns, uses or pronominal structures.
New structures: comparison, superlatives, relatives, indefinites, ci and ne particles (various functions), the imperative mood and how it works with pronouns,passato remoto (passive knowledge), various hypothetical levels, direct and indirect speech, deictic elements, use of connectors for oral and written discursive structures, etc.

Official assessment of learning outcomes |
|
Continuous assessment is recommended for students who attend class regularly, as tests are set throughout the entire teaching period. The mode of assessment chosen may depend on the entry level of the student, and the decision should be made by the student.
Examination-based assessment Students who opt for single assessment will sit a final examination on the entire course content held on the day of the first sitting for examination. The examination covers grammar, oral and reading comprehension, and oral and written communication.
