Learning objectives

 

Referring to knowledge

The main objective of the subject Health and Well-being in Aquatic Animals is to report on risk factors and sources of stress in aquaculture practice that potentially affect the health of fish, the current state of immunological knowledge and pathology in species of interest in aquaculture and, at the same time, provide the necessary tools to diagnose, treat and prevent the disease. At the same time, it aims to provide global information on the interaction between aquaculture and the environment, both with regard to the environmental impact of aquaculture activities and the effects of the environment on animal welfare and, also, the quality of the product.
